Share Your Digital Business Card

This section covers how to present and share your digital card in person or remotely.

Ways to Share:

  • QR Code: Show your QR for quick scans

  • NFC Tap Device: Use your Popl device for seamless tap-to-share

  • Share Link: Send your card via text, email, or social media

Tip: Your QR and share link both point to the same live digital profile. Update it anytime.

How to Share:

  • Open the Popl app

  • Tap the Share icon

  • Choose from QR, Link, or NFC

  • Present to others or copy the link for remote sharing

Two primary ways to collect leads with DBC Tier:

  1. Digital Business Card Scanner

  2. Lead Capture Form

Keep in mind: You can collect leads via the lead capture form through various methods such as sharing your profile link, scanning your Popl QR code, or tapping your Popl accessory to the back of someone's phone!

These tools are built for speed, accuracy, and ease-of-use- whether you're meeting contacts digitally or collecting physical business cards.

Digital Business Card Scanner

The Card Scanner lets you scan paper business cards using the Popl app. It converts physical card text into digital contact records using AI-powered OCR.

Keep in mind: Great for in-person events where paper business cards are still used.

How to scan a card

  1. Open the Popl app

  2. Tap the Scan icon

  3. Select Card Scanner

  4. Frame the card in your camera and snap a photo

  5. Review and edit scanned info (if needed)

  6. Tap Save to add the contact to your leads

Tip: You can add internal notes after scanning. Example: “Interested in demo, follow up next week.”

Features

  • Works offline: Scans will sync once back online

  • Built-in OCR to auto-fill details

  • Manual field editing supported

  • Tagging and notes enabled at the point of capture

Common issue: If scanning isn’t working, check your phone’s camera permissions under Settings → Privacy → Camera → Popl.

Lead Capture Form

The Lead Capture Form is a customizable form attached to your Popl digital card. When someone taps your card, scans your QR code, or clicks your link, the form appears as part of your profile.

Note: The Lead Capture Form is only editable from your Popl Dashboard (not in the mobile app).

How it works

  • Share your Popl profile (via QR, NFC, or link)

  • Recipient views your profile and fills out the form

  • Responses are logged instantly under Leads in your Popl dashboard

Add Lead Qualifiers

Lead Qualifiers help you collect better data about the people you meet

How to Add:

  1. Go to your capture form settings in the Dashboard

  2. Add dropdown or checkbox fields

  3. Label options for internal tracking

  4. Save and sync

Note: These qualifiers show in the app once setup is complete.

Offline Mode + Quick Tools

The DBC tier also supports offline data collection. All captured data syncs when you're back online.

Tools Available:

  • Offline Capture: Leads stored locally

  • QR Code Sharing: Works without internet

  • Tap-to-Share: Still functions offline (device dependent)

Tip: Test your QR and link before your event starts.

Edit and Preview Your Digital Card

Update Your Card:

  1. Open the Popl app

  2. Tap your profile icon (top left)
