How Lead Qualifiers Work

Popl Teams Admins configure Lead Qualifiers at the Campaign Level, ensuring they apply to leads captured during that campaign.

Note: Lead qualifiers are currently only available as a section accessible within the Campaign.

Popl Teams End Users, input responses to the qualifiers when capturing leads via the Popl mobile app.

These end users will fill out qualifiers on the Popl mobile app's lead types: badge scans, paper card scans, and manually added leads.

Keep in mind: Popl Teams End Users are team members who use the Popl mobile app to capture and manage leads during events or campaigns.

Examples of Lead Qualifiers

Popl Teams Admins can create lead qualifiers such as:

  • Product of Interest (Lead Capture, Digital Business Card)

  • Is a decision maker? (Yes, No)

  • Status of this lead (Hot, Warm, Cold)

  • Number of employees (3,000)

Lead Qualifier Settings

Lead Qualifiers can be required or optional, and responses can be of different types.

Required: The lead cannot be saved until a response is provided, except for leads captured via a Lead Capture Form.

Note: For leads captured via the Lead Capture Form, their basic information is saved first, and the user is then prompted to complete the qualifiers.

Optional: Users can save the lead without responding to the qualifier.

Response Types

Lead Qualifiers support these different response formats:

  • Single Select: User selects one response (UI: Circle selection - radio button).

  • Multi Select: User selects multiple responses (UI: Square selection - checkbox).

  • Free Text: User can enter any text (letters or numbers).

  • Numeric: User can only enter numbers.

Example: A new qualifier is created as required and as a single select type:

Map Lead Qualifiers to a CRM

Admins can map Qualifiers to specific fields on the lead in their CRM.

This is done via the Custom Mappings section in the CRM configuration settings.

User Experience on Mobile

After scanning a lead, whether by badge or paper, qualifiers appear while lead enrichment is processing.

They’re displayed below the scanned image and above the enriched contact details, making it easy to capture context right away.

Note: Required qualifiers must be completed before a lead can be saved.
