Quick-start: Universal Badge Scanner in under 30 seconds
Open the Popl app, tap the Scan icon, and select Event Badge.
Scan the full badge, not just the QR code.
Fill in qualifiers and notes while chatting.
Wait 5–15 seconds for AI enrichment.
Save the lead once the info is complete, or manually enter if needed.
Offline? Popl still saves the lead - just reopen the app when you're back online.

How to use the universal badge scanner
Step 1: Open the scanner
Open the Popl App.
Tap the Scan icon at the bottom center.
Select Event Badge from the scanner menu.
Step 2: Scan the entire badge
Position your phone so the entire badge is visible, not just the QR code.
The scanner uses AI to extract contact details from the full badge image.
Badge images are saved to your phone’s camera roll automatically.
Important: Scanning just the QR code will not work.
Full badge = full enrichment.
Step 3: Add qualifiers + notes
After the scan, the app will prompt you to complete any lead qualifiers.
Use the voice-to-text feature to quickly add notes.
Pro Tip: Scan the badge early in the conversation so you can qualify while talking.
Step 4: AI Enrichment & saving the lead
Within 5–15 seconds, Popl enriches the contact with:
Name, Title, Company, Email, Phone, LinkedIn, Location, etc.
A banner will indicate enrichment is in progress - once it disappears, you’re good to save.
