CRM Insights (Salesforce) - Beta

CRM Insights surfaces real-time Salesforce data directly in the Popl mobile app when a lead is scanned. Instantly view customer status, opportunities, and key context to help reps qualify and personalize conversations on the spot.

Updated this week

Overview

Required subscription: CRM Insights is available exclusively with our Event Lead Capture Plan.

CRM Insights surfaces real-time Salesforce data directly within the Popl mobile app at the moment a lead is scanned.

When a rep scans a badge at an event, we automatically check Salesforce to see if that person or their company already exists.

Within seconds, relevant context appears directly on the Create Lead or View Lead pages, helping reps understand who they’re talking to without leaving the app.

Reps can instantly see whether a lead is:

  • A current customer

  • An open opportunity

  • A lost opportunity

  • An existing lead

Tapping into CRM Insights reveals deeper details like deal stage, opportunity value, ownership, and past interactions, all in one place.

Beta Notice: CRM Insights is currently in Beta. Features and behavior may evolve based on feedback.

Requirements

CRM Insights is available when the following conditions are met:

  • You are using Event Lead Capture (ELC)

  • Your team has a native Salesforce integration connected to Popl

Additional notes:

  • Works with integrations connected at the team, subteam, or campaign level

  • Does not require active lead syncing to function

  • Automatically enabled for eligible teams

  • Can be disabled by a team admin

CRM Insights is not available for:

  • Digital Business Card (DBC) users

  • Non-team users

  • Teams without a Salesforce integration

How it works

  1. A rep scans a badge

  2. Popl begins lead enrichment

  3. Once an email is identified, Popl triggers a Salesforce lookup

  4. CRM Insights appears within seconds as a button below the Notes field

The feature appears in two places:

  • Create Lead page (immediately after scan)

  • View Lead page (for previously captured leads)

Tapping the button opens a full CRM Insights modal with detailed context.

CRM Insights Button States

The button updates automatically as data is processed:

On the View Lead page, the rep can tap it to retry the lookup manually.

What CRM Insights does not do

CRM Insights is read-only and does not:

  • Write data back to Salesforce

  • Create new Salesforce records

  • Support HubSpot or other CRM integrations

  • Show campaign performance or goals

  • Appear on the web dashboard (mobile only)
