Overview
This article explains how any Popl user can reset or change their password if they’ve forgotten it or wish to update it for security reasons. The process is quick and can be completed from either the Popl mobile app or the Popl dashboard on a desktop.
Resetting your password via the mobile app
Follow these steps if you’re resetting your password on the Popl mobile app:
Open the Popl app on your mobile phone.
Tap Sign in.
Tap Forgot Password.
Enter the email you used to create your Popl account.
Check your email inbox (including spam/junk folders) for the password reset email.
Follow the link in the email to set a new password.
Resetting your password via the dashboard
If you’re on a desktop, follow these steps:
Go to dash.popl.co/sign-in.
Click Forgot password on the sign-in page.
Enter the email you used for your Popl account.
Check your email inbox (including spam/junk folders) for the password reset email.
Click the link in the email and create a new password.
Bulk password reset (admins)
Admins on DBC and ELC plans can perform bulk password resets for up to 100 team members at once:
Log in to the Popl dashboard.
In the left sidebar, go to Admin > Password Reset.
Prepare a CSV or Excel file with the following columns:
Email (required)
Password (required)
Click Select CSV or Excel file to upload, or drag and drop the file into the upload box.
Review the uploaded data and complete the reset process.
This feature helps admins quickly update login credentials for team members when needed.
Troubleshooting password reset issues
If you encounter problems such as:
Broken or expired reset links
Password reset emails not arriving
The reset link not directing you to set a new password
