Manage and customize Popl QR codes

Customize and download Popl QR codes from the dashboard or mobile app in various formats - available with specific subscriptions.

Required subscriptions: Customization of QR codes is available for Pro, Pro+, DBC, and ELC plans. All users can access and download their QR codes.

This article explains how users can manage, customize, and download their Popl QR codes. Whether for personal branding, business materials, or physical displays, QR codes provide a dynamic way to share your digital business card.

Important: Members may be unable to edit their QR codes if their admin has restricted editing permissions. Please reach out to your admin if you’re unable to customize your QR code.

Managing QR codes on a desktop

Follow these steps to customize and download your QR code from the Popl dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Popl dashboard at dash.popl.co.

  2. Navigate to the Member or user Profile of the individual whose QR code you’d like to manage.

  3. In the left-hand menu, select QR Code.

  4. You’ll see your dynamic QR code displayed on the page.

  5. To download your QR code, choose from multiple file formats: PNG, SVG, or PDF.

  6. Pick the format best suited for your needs, whether for tables, windows, vehicles, or more.

  7. For optimal performance, use a supported web browser such as Google Chrome when downloading your QR code.

Customizing your QR code on a desktop

  1. Click Add under Custom Logo to upload a logo image.

  2. Use the toggle above the crop tool to adjust the size of your custom logo to fill the white space effectively.

  3. The preview on the right side updates live as you adjust your logo.

  4. Click Save QR Code to save your changes.

Keep in mind: As a team admin, you can also customize QR codes in bulk through templates. Learn more about templates here.

Managing QR codes on mobile

You can also manage your QR code from the Popl mobile app:

  1. Open the Popl mobile app.

  2. Tap on My Card to view your digital business card.

  3. Tap Edit Card.

  4. Find and tap the QR Code section.

    1. Here, you’ll see your dynamic QR code.

  5. Tap Customize to add a logo or adjust styling.

  6. Tap Save once you’ve made changes.

  7. To download your QR code, tap the Download icon and select your desired file format.

Note: The mobile app only supports downloading a basic image of your QR code. High-resolution formats (PNG, SVG, PDF) are available exclusively through the web dashboard.

Your customized QR code will be ready to use across digital or printed materials.

Common issue: If your QR code download isn’t working, follow these steps:

Troubleshooting in the mobile app

  • Sign out of your account and log back in.

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Popl app from your device's app store, then retry.

  • Troubleshooting on the dashboard

  • Ensure you are using a supported web browser like Google Chrome or another modern browser.

  • Refresh the dashboard and attempt the download again. If you’re unable to edit your QR code, check with your admin to confirm whether editing permissions have been restricted.
