Popl supports GDPR Sensitivity Mode, a feature designed to help teams remain compliant with GDPR regulations during lead capture.
When you enable this as an admin, your team will be required to collect explicit consent from every lead before any personal data is processed or stored.
How GDPR Sensitivity Mode works
When a Full Team admin enables GDPR Sensitivity Mode from the Team Settings page, the lead capture flow is updated to prioritize consent.
The following changes will apply to all team members immediately:
1. Scanning Leads
Before scanning any badges, paper cards, or QR codes, a pop-up will appear asking if the lead consents to data collection.
If Yes is selected, scanning proceeds.
If No is selected, the scanner will close, and the user will be returned to the previous screen.
2. Manually Creating Leads
When accessing the lead creation page via the mobile app, users will encounter the same consent pop-up.
3. Leads Filling Out the Lead Capture Form
Popl lead capture forms will automatically include a GDPR consent checkbox at the bottom.
This checkbox is required and cannot be removed.
If you’ve previously added a consent checkbox via a Template, we recommend removing it to avoid duplication.

Post-capture consent management
If a lead revokes consent after their information has been captured, users can fully delete the lead’s data directly from the mobile app:
Tap the three dots next to the lead
Select “Remove Lead"
Important: This action permanently deletes the lead’s data from Popl, and we cannot undo this action. This deletion will not affect any data that Popl has exported to other platforms, such as your CRM.
