Overview
Required subscription: Exclusively available on the Event Lead Capture (ELC) plan.
Completed Leads allows teams to mark Qualifier fields as Necessary for Completion within an Event Flow. Leads can still be captured and saved even if these fields are empty, helping teams move quickly during live conversations and events.
If a lead is missing any Necessary for Completion fields, Popl marks the lead as incomplete and prompts the lead owner to return and finish the missing information later.
Completed Leads also provides visibility into lead quality by tracking completion rates directly within Event Flow metrics.
Before You Start
Before using Completed Leads, ensure the following:
Your team is on the Event Lead Capture plan
You are a Full Team Admin or Subteam Admin
At least one Event Flow has been created
Within ELC teams:
Full Team Admins and Subteam Admins can configure Necessary for Completion settings
Members can complete leads in the mobile app
Members cannot modify completion settings
How Completed Leads Works
Admins can mark Qualifier fields as Necessary for Completion within the Data Capture step of an Event Flow.
A lead is considered:
Status | Definition |
Complete | All Necessary for Completion fields contain values |
Incomplete | One or more Necessary for Completion fields are empty |
Incomplete leads:
Still save successfully
Still sync to connected CRMs
Continue through all Event Flow automations normally
The only difference is that Popl prompts users to return and complete missing information later.
Necessary for Completion vs Required Fields
Necessary for Completion and Required fields serve different purposes.
Setting | Behavior |
Required | Blocks a lead from being saved until the field is completed |
Necessary for Completion | Allows the lead to save, but marks it as incomplete until the field is filled in |
This allows teams to prioritize speed during live lead capture while still maintaining lead quality after the event.
