Change account email via the Popl app and dashboard

Here is how you can change your Popl account email within the Popl mobile app, dashboard and for members of your team (admins only).

Overview

Required Subscriptions: All members (regardless of plan) can change their account email via the mobile app.

This guide walks through two methods:

  1. Changing your account email via the Popl mobile app

  2. Changing your account email via the Popl dashboard

  3. Updating a user’s email via the Popl dashboard (admin use only)


Change your account email from the Popl app

  1. Open the Popl App on your phone

  2. Tap Settings at the bottom right corner of the menu bar

  3. Scroll down and tap Edit Account Email

  4. Delete your current email

  5. Then type in your new email

6. After you've typed in your new email, tap Save

Success! You can now log in with the new email.

Keep in mind: The new email address must not be associated with an existing Popl account.


Change Your Own Email via the Popl Dashboard

Any Popl user can change their own email from their account settings on the web dashboard.

  • Enter your new email address and click Save Changes

  • Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to confirm

Keep in mind: The change will not be completed until the new email is verified through the confirmation email.

Common issue: The new email address must not already be in use on another Popl account.


Updating a Popl Team Member's Email in the Popl Dashboard (Admins only)

This method is intended for team admins updating the email address of a team member.

  • Navigate to dashboard.popl.co

  • From the left-side navigation bar, click Team → Members

  • Select the user's name to open their profile

  • In the top-right corner of their profile, click the three dots and select Edit Email

  • Enter the new email address in the pop-up window and click Update

  • Instruct the member to visit the Forgot Password page to set a new password

Keep in mind: After the email is updated, the user must reset their password before logging in again with the new email.

Tip: Use this method only when users cannot update their email themselves or in the case of email entry errors.
