Required subscriptions: This feature is only available for DBC and ELC plans.

This article explains how admins can customize the invite emails sent to new team members through Popl Teams. Custom invite emails help ensure your team’s communication is on-brand and engaging for new users joining your organization.

Only admins can make these changes from the dashboard.

Customizing your invite emails

Follow these steps to customize your team’s invite emails:

  1. Log in to your Popl dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the page for customizing invite emails under the Admin menu.

  3. Edit the following components of your invite email:

    • Subject line

    • Message body

    • Call-to-action button text

Note: All edits you make will apply to future invite emails sent to team members.

Using variables in your email

Variables are dynamic pieces of information that personalize each email. Currently, the available variable is:

  • Popl Team Member Name

Including variables makes each invite feel more personal and relevant to the recipient.

Adding hyperlinks with markdown

Hyperlinks can be included in your invite email using markdown syntax. For example:

[Popl Website](https://popl.co)

This will display as:

Use hyperlinks to direct new team members to resources, company sites, or documentation.

Removing Popl information

In the customization page, you have the option to remove the “What is Popl?” section that appears at the bottom of the standard invite email. Toggle this option off if you prefer a fully branded email without Popl’s default informational content.

Common issue: If your custom email changes don’t appear in sent emails, refresh your dashboard and double-check that you’ve saved your edits.
