Image Type Overview
Each type of image you upload plays a specific role within the Popl ecosystem. The chart below outlines the ideal dimensions and format for every image type used on Popl profiles or dashboards.

Note: All square image types (1:1) should be uploaded as PNG or JPG files with no extra borders or padding unless part of your brand design.

Profile Photo
This image represents the individual team member or user on their Popl card or Teams profile.
Recommended: Upload a high-resolution, centered headshot with a neutral background.
Common issue: Profile photos that are too zoomed out or not centered will appear small or distorted.
Cover Photo
This is the banner image that sits at the top of the Popl digital card.
Recommended size: 780px x 300px
Aspect ratio: 2.6:1
This image is ideal for team branding, bold colors, or cultural representation.
Note: Avoid text-heavy graphics, which may be cropped or resized differently on mobile views.
Video Cover Photo
This is the thumbnail image that appears before a video is played within a Popl profile.
Must be under 60MB in file size
Should clearly preview the video’s subject matter
Keep in mind: Do not use screenshots with excessive motion blur or low resolution.
Company Logo
Your company logo appears throughout the Popl Teams dashboard and any shared team-level content.
Size: 440 x 440 px
Aspect ratio: 1:1
Preferred format: PNG with a transparent or white background
On left and center aligned card layouts, your company logo will appear on the bottom righthand side of your profile photo.
On portrait card layouts, your company logo will appear below your profile photo.
Note: Logos are available to Popl Pro, Pro+, and Teams customers.
PopCode Logo
This logo appears on printed or digital PopCodes and must be highly legible when scanned or shared in person.
Recommended size: 540px x 540px
Tip: Use a centered, bold design with strong contrast. Try to avoid thin or delicate lines

Link Icon
These icons appear next to custom links on a user's digital profile.
Size: 540 x 540 px
Aspect ratio: 1:1
Tip: Use simple, brand-recognizable icons that scale well to small sizes.
